Connecting the Great Lakes to the Atlantic Ocean is the Saint Lawrence River. Stretching over 1,900 miles, the river was modified with a series of canals and locks in 1959 - known as the St Lawrence Seaway - that allowed large ocean liners to navigate the entire river expanding trade and transportation to the middle of the continental U.S. This 4 1/4” solid wire brushed ash has the light and dark variations of hickory, but is more dimensionally stable.
